72nd Street's Anurakta performs at 20th Annual ANA Convention in D.C. He opened the show with a song called "Gunyu Cholo" for 1974A.D./Deep Shrestha Concert. The song was well received by the audience. The picture of the show will be posted to the website soon.

Our first album "72nd Street" is reviewed on Issue 78 of Wave Magazine:
72nd STREET
by 72nd Street *** This album is a mixture of rock and Nepali pop. Kathmandu Blues and Texas Blues, the opening and closing tracks, have the same tune, sounding more rock except for the impressive blues guitar riffs. Gunyo Cholo by Anurakta Pradhan is modern Nepali with guitar and tabla. Roshan Bistas Sara Khusi opens with a piano intro and is a percussion based soft number. Mayalu Priyasi is a simplified reggae followed by a slow pop song titled Rahar. Jindagiko and Forever, the latter by Prakash Bajracharya are typical pop rock. Bistas Chot is a simple soft rock that deserves better arrangement. The album could use professional arrangement but is worth a listen.

OK.. The wait is finally over. The Visuals are converted to DVD and VCD format. We are assuming that this is the first nepali music video that you can find in DVD format. We are still looking for a storage space on the web to store the music videos as they are very large. For now you can go to Discography and see the still images from the Music Videos. Enjoy!

We are currently creating our OFFICIAL WEBSITE where everybody from all over the world can listen to our music, get the lyrics/tabs/chords for our songs and buy our CD online. The website will also feature discography, pictures, music videos etc and the status of our second album too. The finalized Name of the Album will be "72nd Street". There will be 9 songs altogether in the CD. Two of the songs "Kathmandu Blues" and "Jindagiko" are currently being visualized from Drishya TV.
